The 16X9 Inc Easyrig Easyrig MiniMax Camera Support System is a professional body-worn harness designed to redistribute the weight of a camera rig from the operator’s arms and shoulders to their hips and torso. This specific model is engineered to support a load capacity ranging from 4.4 to 15.4 lbs, making it an ideal choice for documentary filmmakers, news crews, and event videographers using compact cinema cameras or DSLRs. By providing a stable point of contact through its overhead support arm and suspension line, the system allows for extended handheld shooting sessions without the typical physical strain or muscle fatigue associated with manual operation.
Equipped with several mechanical improvements over its predecessors, the Easyrig MiniMax Camera Support System features a redesigned spring system and a conical wheel to ensure smooth rope movement and reduced friction. A standout safety feature is the integrated overload protection mechanism, which includes a tripping device that activates if the weight capacity is exceeded, preventing damage to the internal spring. The unit also includes a pivoting upper arm similar to larger professional models, allowing operators to swing the camera to the side or rest it on their shoulder for diverse shooting angles and increased mobility on set.
For maximum comfort and versatility, the Easyrig MiniMax Camera Support System is built with a breathable mesh vest and adjustable straps to accommodate various body types. The system includes a standard camera hook that can be quickly secured to most camera handles or top bars, providing a secure connection for dynamic movements. Whether used for stabilized handheld work or as a support for small gimbals, this lightweight system enhances the fluidity of shots while maintaining a portable footprint. The entire kit is designed to be easily disassembled and fits into a compact carrying bag for convenient transport between filming locations.
